Letter E Hands-On Activities for Kids
- Draw an Eagle: Learn how to Draw an Eagle while first writing the letter E.
- Egg Hunt: Organize a fun egg hunt using plastic eggs filled with small treats or toys, encouraging children to search and collect them.
- Exploration Station: Set up an exploration station with magnifying glasses, binoculars, and nature items for children to investigate and observe closely.
- Easel Painting: Provide easels for children to paint on, allowing them to create artwork while standing and exploring different painting techniques.
- Egg Carton Crafts: Use empty egg cartons to create various crafts, such as caterpillars, flowers, or other imaginative creations.
- Exercise Time: Incorporate a short exercise session with fun movements like jumping, stretching, and dancing to promote physical activity.
- Environmental Awareness: Teach children about recycling and caring for the environment through sorting activities and discussions about nature.
- Emotion Charades: Play a game of charades where children act out different emotions, helping them learn to recognize and express feelings.
- Elephant Newspaper Craft: Gather some old newspapers and this elephant template. Simply cut out the elephant template, cut out strips of old newspaper and glue the strips of newspaper onto the elephant template.
- Eggshell Mosaic: After using eggs for an activity, save the shells and use them to create a mosaic art project.

- Erupting Volcano: Create a simple baking soda and vinegar volcano experiment to demonstrate an eruption, allowing children to observe the reaction. The simplest way to see this reaction without making a mess is to pour baking soda into your toilet and then add vinegar. Watch the reaction and clean your toilet at the same time!
- Elderberry Art: Watch how to draw an elderberry plant and try your hand at it as well!
- Explore Different Cultures: Introduce children to different cultures by exploring foods, music, and traditions from around the world.
- Eagle Watching: If possible, take a field trip to observe birds, especially eagles, discussing their characteristics and habitats. But if you can’t see them live, don’t worry! You can watch this Live Eagle Cam from Big Bear!
- Egg Decorating: Decorate hard-boiled eggs with markers, stickers, or natural dyes for a fun and creative activity.
