Letter D Hands-On Activities for Kids

  1. Draw a Dog: Learn how to Draw a Dog by first drawing the letter D.
  2. Dinosaur Dig: Create a sensory bin filled with sand or rice and hide toy dinosaurs for children to excavate and discover or purchase an already done for you Dinosaur Sensory Bin.
  3. Drawing Station: Set up a drawing station with various art supplies (crayons, markers, colored pencils) for children to express their creativity.
  4. Dance Party: Host a dance party with fun music, encouraging children to dance freely and enjoy moving their bodies.
  5. Dot Painting: Use cotton swabs or dot markers to create artwork using dots, helping children develop fine motor skills.
  6. Dress-Up Day: Organize a dress-up day where children can wear costumes or play clothes, encouraging imaginative play.
  7. Dough Play: Provide playdough for children to mold and shape, allowing them to explore textures and enhance their creativity.
  8. Duck Pond: Create a small “duck pond” using a shallow container filled with water and rubber ducks for children to play with and learn about floating and sinking.
  9. Dramatic Play: Set up a dramatic play area where children can engage in role-playing activities, such as a grocery store or restaurant.
  10. Doodle Art: Encourage children to doodle freely on paper, allowing them to create their own designs and patterns.
